Beautiful Home Living ~ Black Banisters
Painting your banister is an attractive way to dress up your staircase. I mentioned in my "What Color is your Banister" post that we painted our banister (which leads up to the renovated third floor) a black lacquer with a shiny finish. The black color provides a nice contrast against the pastel walls. Here are the photos.

Connect Office Furniture by Inci Mutlu
A (Many) wonderful piece of office furniture made by Inci Mutlu of Mutlu+Milano Design Studio.
Designed with rounded forms for young, dynamic and creative spaces, Connect is a seating unit which can be added, removed and used in many ways. This circular, tautly cushioned piece of seating furniture with it's loud colors can be used as an occasional seat or linked to one another to form an '8' or ' a spoon'.

Drink or laptops can be placed on a movable side table devised to complete said seats. Amusingly, a little story comes with this range of circular seats: when asked how she came to invent it's 'inviting' shape, the young designer Mutlu said...
she had observed children playing in the water, one of them using a large tyre of sorts for a toy-the effect being that in about no time the whole lot of those kids were romping about on it.
Connect is manufatured by nurus, a company based in Turkey.

Cloud Room by Monica Förster
k, this is not new anymore, but worth a mention here. The Cloud is designed by Monica Förster. Cloud is the portable room for meeting, resting and concentrating. A room easy to transport from place to place. A quiet fan keeps Cloud inflated as long as needed. The room is installed in three minutes and can be folded up in the accompanying bag when deflated. Not recommended for outdoor use.
Whenever I've been travelling in airplanes, I have wondered how it would feel like to be inside one of the clouds outside the window. This is how I got the idea for the Cloud portable inflatable room. I started to make research about the cumulus cloud, which is the happy weather cloud.
In the morning moisture rises up in the sky and form cumulus clouds – towards the evening they dissolve and disappear. That's exactly how I would like my room to work. When you come to the office in the morning, you Inflate the room, and when you go home for the evening you deflate it and it disappears.
