On Saturday, Nov. 17, Sauble Speedway held its year-end banquet. During the proceedings, Joe and Sue Chisholm announced that they had sold the popular stock car facility to a family that has a long history of participation in the sport at Sauble and elsewhere.
From saublespeedway.com: "Joe Chisholm announced the sale of Sauble Speedway to Jason and Aimee Thom. Jason is the son of Bruce Thom of Thom Construction in Owen Sound. Jason in his early teens started racing at Sauble Speedway in a Late Model, Jason advanced his career to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series . Jason and Aimee have a lot to offer the sport of auto racing."
All the best to the Thoms as they put their mark on Sauble Speedway. And congratulations to the Chisholms for their efforts at Sauble and with the long-running ALSTAR Late Model Series.
Thanks to Joe and Sue Chisholm for the photos from the banquet. A PDF of the winners and other award winners is located here.
